Phthanotrochus es un género de foraminífero bentónico de la familia Phthanotrochidae, del suborden Allogromiina[1] y del orden Allogromiida.[2] Su especie tipo es Phthanotrochus arcanus. Su rango cronoestratigráfico abarca el Holoceno.
