La Temporada 1947-48 fue la primera de los Baltimore Bullets en la BAA. Tras la baja de los Cleveland Rebels, Detroit Falcons, Pittsburgh Ironmen y Toronto Huskies con respecto a la primera temporada de la liga, se reclutó a los Bullets, procedentes de la ABL, quedando la liga con sólo ocho equipos.[1] La temporada regular acabó con 28 victorias y 20 derrotas, ocupando el segundo puesto de la División Oeste, teniendo que jugar un desempate previo a los playoffs ante Chicago Stags y Washington Capitols, alcanzando finalmente las finales en las que derrotaron a los Philadelphia Warriors.[2]
