Carl Reiner

Carl Reiner naît en 1922 au Bronx à New-York, fils de l'horloger Irving Reiner et de Bessie Mathias. Son père est un immigré juif de Czernowitz (Autriche-Hongrie) ; sa mère également immigrée juive est née en Roumanie. Carl Reiner étudie à l'université de Georgetown.

En 1943, il épouse Estelle Lebost (1914-2008). Ils ont trois enfants : l'acteur et réalisateur Rob Reiner, l'écrivaine Annie Reiner et l'artiste Lucas Reiner.

Carl Reiner meurt de causes naturelles chez lui à Beverly Hills le 29 juin 2020^[1].
