Charles North, né le 9 juin 1941 à Brooklyn (New York) est un poète, essayiste, anthologiste, directeur de publication et universitaire américain (États-Unis)[1].

Biographie
Après ses études secondaires, il est admis à l'université Tufts, où il obtiendra son baccalauréat universitaire (littérature et philosophie) en 1962, puis il passera son Master of Arts (littérature comparée) en 1964 à l'université Columbia[2] à New York.
Il anime des séminaires pour de poésie à l'université Pace de New York[3].
Il est régulièrement publié dans des revues magazines tels que The Nation[4], Poetry[5], Bomb Magazine[6], The Brooklyn Rail[7], Poetry Project[8], Romantic Circles[9], Jacket2[10], Sienese Shredder[11], Boston Review[12], etc.
Charles North est marié avec Paula North, ils résident à New York[13] dans l'Upper West Side à Manhattan[14].
