La ville de Richardton est située dans le comté de Stark, dans l’État du Dakota du Nord, aux États-Unis. Sa population s’élevait à 529 habitants lors du recensement de 2010, estimée à 557 habitants en 2018.
Richardton a été fondée par des colons allemands de la Volga en 1889. L’abbaye a été fondée en 1899.

Richardton est réputée pour son abbaye bénédictine, l’abbaye Sainte-Marie-de-l’Assomption.
