ウィリアム・ハーバート (第3代ポウィス侯爵) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 第3代ポウィス侯爵ウィリアム・ハーバート（英語: William Herbert, 3rd Marquess of Powis、1698年頃 – 1748年3月8日）は、イングランド貴族。1745年までモンゴメリー子爵の儀礼称号を使用した[1]。 第2代ポウィス侯爵ウィリアム・ハーバート（英語版）と妻メアリー（英語版）（1724年1月8日没、第3代準男爵サー・トマス・プレストンの娘）の息子として、1698年ごろに生まれた[1]。1720年6月5日、ケンブリッジ大学クレア・カレッジに入学した[2]。 1745年10月22日に父が死去すると、ポウィス侯爵位を継承した[1]。 1748年3月8日に生涯未婚のまま死去、15日にヘンドン（英語版）で埋葬された[1]。後継者がおらず、爵位は全て廃絶した[1]。 子供時代の肖像画がウォリックシャーのコートン・コート（英語版）に所蔵されている[3]。 出典 1 2 3 4 5 Cokayne, George Edward; Doubleday, Herbert Arthur; Howard de Walden, Thomas, eds.
