ゲイル・ルンデスタッド

ゲイル（ゲア）・ルンデスタッド（Geir Lundestad, 1945年 1月17日 - 2023年 9月22日^[1]）は、ノルウェーの歴史学者。専門は、国際政治史、米欧関係史。

来歴

オスロ大学で修士号、トロムソ大学で博士号取得。現在、オスロ大学歴史学部教授およびノーベル研究所所長。

ハーバード大学（1978年～1979年、1983年）、ウッドロー・ウィルソン国際学術センター（1988年～1989年）にて客員研究員を務めた。

戦後の米欧関係を招かれた帝国（Empire by Invitation）として理解する視点を提示し、話題を呼んだ。
