化石種
100種程度が属する。かつては6属に分けられていたが、2008年にSergestes 属（旧カスミエビ属）[2]、2014年にSergia 属（旧サクラエビ属）[3]の再編が行われ、多数の属に分割された。
和名はBISMaL[4]による。
- Acetes H. Milne Edwards, 1830 アキアミ属 - アキアミ等12種。第4・5胸脚を欠く。
- Sicyonella Borradaile, 1910 イソサクラエビ属 - イソサクラエビ等3種。第4胸脚は7節。
- Peisos Burkenroad, 1945 - 1種。第4胸脚は5節。
- Petalidium Spence Bate, 1881 - 3種。第4胸脚は6節。
- カスミエビ類 - 約40種。体は半透明。肝膵臓に発光器 (Organs of Pesta) を持つ。体表に発光器はない[3]。
