Chapman started off playing the role of "Small Boy", and went on to play the character of Michael, Billy's best friend. After Chapman's role as Michael was successful, he was promoted to play the protagonist Billy. Chapman is the second longest serving cast member of the production, and the longest serving "Billy".[2]
