マイケル・チャールズ・ウッド

国際法委員会のメンバー。1999年から2006年まで外務・英連邦省の主任法律顧問を務めた。FCOの弁護士として35年間、国連海洋法会議を含む多くの国際会議に出席し、現在ではロンドンの法廷弁護士として働いている^[1]。

ウッドは2009年11月と2010年1月にイラク戦争に関する調査に証拠を提出した。また、当時外務大臣を務めていたジャック・ストローに、「第二次国連決議なしにイラク戦争は違法である」と助言したと述べた。また、ウッドはコソボの独立宣言に関する国際司法裁判所の勧告的意見の主席法律顧問も務めていた^[2]。
