モートン・カプラン

フィラデルフィア生まれ。テンプル大学およびスタンフォード大学で学び、1951年、コロンビア大学より博士号取得。

国際関係論における第二の論争において、行動科学に基づく科学主義の立場から、システム解析の手法を導入し、ヘドリー・ブルなどの伝統主義と論争した。

1985年8月13日（14日）「ソ連共産帝国の崩壊」をジュネーブ会議にて宣布。場所はインターコンチネンタルホテル。これは文鮮明（当時、ダンベリー刑務所に収監中）の指示によるもの。^[2]
