後藤春美

東京都生まれ[1]。女子学院中学校・高等学校を経て[1]、1982年東京大学文学部第四類を卒業[1]。在学中は、木畑洋一に師事した。1982年から1年間、東京銀行に勤務する[1]。1985年、東京大学教養学部教養学科第二卒業[1]。1987年、東京大学大学院総合文化研究科修士課程を修了[1]。オックスフォード大学に留学し[1]、1988年同大学大学院修士課程修了[1]。1993年、東京大学院大学院総合研究科博士課程単位取得退学[1]。1994年、オックスフォード大学大学院近現代史研究科博士課程修了[1]、Doctor of Philosophy（近現代史）を取得[1][3]。博士論文審査委員の一人がイアン・ニッシュだった。
1996年千葉大学助教授[1]、2007年同大学准教授[1]、2008年明治大学国際日本学部教授[1]を経て、2009年4月より東京大学大学院総合文化研究科教授[1]。2025年3月、東京大学を定年退職[1]、同年6月名誉教授。
