Andrew N. Meltzoff

Andrew N. Meltzoff (* 9. Februar 1950) ist ein US-amerikanischer Psychologe und war Professor an der University of Washington.
Meltzoff studierte an der Harvard University wurde 1976 an der Oxford University bei Jerome Bruner zum PhD promoviert.
Sein Forschungsgebiet ist die Kindesentwicklung. Er entwickelte die „Like-Me“-Theorie, nach der Säuglinge das Verhalten anderer verstehen, indem sie es mit ihren eigenen Körperbewegungen verknüpfen.
Seine Ehefrau ist die Psychologin Patricia K. Kuhl, mit der er viele Publikationen geteilt hat.
