Bouchra Khalili

Aufgewachsen in Marokko und Frankreich, promovierte Khalili an der Universität Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris in Filmwissenschaften und schloss ihr Kunststudium an der École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy ab. Im Oktober 2020 wurde sie zur Professorin für „Artistic Strategies“ an der Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien berufen. Dort ist sie auch Leiterin des Fachbereichs „Artistic Strategies“ sowie Gründungsmitglied von La Cinémathèque de Tanger, einer von Künstlern geführten gemeinnützigen Organisation, die sich der Förderung und Entwicklung der Filmkultur in Nordmarokko widmet.^[1]
