Wahlkreis Paisley and Renfrewshire South

Paisley and Renfrewshire South ist ein Wahlkreis (englisch constituency) im Zentrum Schottlands, der einen Abgeordneten ins britische Unterhaus (House of Commons) entsendet. Er liegt in der Council Area Renfrewshire und besteht seit 2005. Bedeutende Orte im Wahlkreis sind Howwood, Johnstone, Kilbarchan, Lochwinnoch und Paisley.

Geschichte
Die Boundary Commission for Scotland schuf den Wahlkreis im Hinblick auf die Unterhauswahl 2005. Er entstand aus Teilen der aufgelösten Wahlkreise Paisley North, Paisley South und West Renfrewshire. 2024 kam es im Rahmen einer periodischen Überprüfung zu Grenzveränderungen.
Der Wahlkreis umfasst(e) folgende Gebiete:
- 2005–2024: die Renfrewshire Council Area mit Ausnahme jener Teile, die zum Wahlkreis Paisley and Renfrewshire North gehören[2]
- seit 2024: in der Renfrewshire Council Area die Wards Houston, Crosslee & Linwood (teilweise), Paisley East & Central, Paisley Northwest (teilweise), Paisley Southeast, Paisley Southwest, Johnstone South & Elderslie, Johnstone North, Kilbarchan, Howwood & Lochwinnoch[3]
