The 1894 U.S. National Championships (now known as the US Open) was a tennis tournament that took place in June and August of 1894. The women's singles and doubles tournament as well as the mixed doubles event was held from June 12 to June 16 on the outdoor grass courts at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The men's tournament was held from August 20 to August 27 on the outdoor grass courts at the Newport Casino in Newport, Rhode Island. It was the 14th U.S. National Championships and the second Grand Slam tournament of the year.[2]
