American college football season From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1900 Iowa Hawkeyes football team was an American football team that represented the State University of Iowa ("S.U.I."), now commonly known as the University of Iowa, as a member of the Western Conference during the 1900 Western Conference football season. In their third year under head coach Alden Knipe, the Hawkeyes compiled a 7–0–1 record (2–0–1 in conference games), tied with Minnesota for the Western Conference championship, shut out their first five opponents, and outscored all opponents by a total of 311 to 12.[1][2] This was the Hawkeyes' second consecutive undefeated season and their first season in the Western Conference.
