The 1901 Iowa Hawkeyes football team was an American football team that represented that represented the State University of Iowa ("S.U.I."), now commonly known as the University of Iowa, as a member of the Western Conference during the 1901 Western Conference football season. In their fourth season under head coach Alden Knipe, the Hawkeyes compiled a 6–3 record (0–3 in conference games), finished in last place in the Western Conference, and were outscored by a total of 115 to 85.[1] Clyde Williams was the team captain.[2]
