1999 Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council election

Local election in Stockport From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elections to Stockport Council were held on Thursday, 6 May 1999. One third of the council was up for election, with each successful candidate to serve a four-year term of office, expiring in 2003. The Liberal Democrats gained overall control of the council, from no overall control.[1][2]
