2000 Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council election

Local election in Stockport From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elections to Stockport Council were held on Thursday, 4 May 2000. One third of the council was up for election, with each successful candidate to serve a four-year term of office, expiring in 2004. The Liberal Democrats lost overall control of the council, to no overall control.[1][2]
