The 2022 FISU University World Cup Combat Sports was the inaugural edition of the FISU University World Cup Combat Sports event, held in Samsun, Turkey, from 21 to 30 September 2022.[1] The event brought together competitions in boxing, karate, muaythai, sambo, wrestling and wushu.[2] According to FISU, 943 athletes from 46 countries took part in the competition.[1]
The event was originally awarded to Yekaterinburg, Russia, but in May 2022 FISU announced that Samsun would replace Yekaterinburg as host city.[3]
