Spanish basketball league season From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2022–23 ACB season, also known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, was the 40th season of the top Spanish professional basketball league, since its establishment in 1983. It started on 28 September 2022 with the regular season and ended on 20 June 2023 with the finals.

Attendances to arenas

Attendances increased significantly during the 2022–23 season following the removal of the capacity restrictions that had affected much of the previous season. The league averaged approximately 6,160 spectators per game, compared with 4,808 in 2021–22, an increase of about 28.1%.[40] Unicaja recorded the highest average attendance with 9,108 spectators per game, more than double its 2021–22 average, while Cazoo Baskonia recorded the season's highest single-game attendance, with 15,501 spectators against Unicaja on 30 September 2022. Later in the season, 15,208 spectators attended Baskonia's home game against Barça, at the time one of the ten highest attendances in ACB league history.[41]
