Background
The prize money for the season was ₹10 crore (US$1.0 million).[6] Tickets for matches were free to women during the first season.[7] The opening ceremony took place on 4 March at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, with AP Dhillon, Kriti Sanon and Kiara Advani performing.[8]
Starting this season, both teams could use the Decision Review System to challenge no-ball and wide ball calls. The rule was implemented in the 2023 IPL season.[9]
