The 2025 season was Sport Recife's 121st season in the club's history.[3] Sport returned to Série A after three seasons in Série B,[4] but was relegated at the end of the season, finishing the national league in last place. The club also competed in the Copa do Nordeste,[5] Copa do Brasil[6] and Campeonato Pernambucano winning their 45th title in history.[7]
