The Hawks will enter the draft holding two first-round selections and one second-round selection, all acquired through previous trades.[2][3] They swapped their original first-round selection with the San Antonio Spurs (who subsequently traded the pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers), while their original second-round selection was traded to the Golden State Warriors and ultimately conveyed to the Denver Nuggets. The latter became the less favorable of two selections after the Hawks finished with a better record than the Los Angeles Clippers in the previous season. [4]
