The 2026–27 season is the 138th season in the history of Sheffield United and their third consecutive season in the Championship. In addition to the domestic league, the club would also participate in the FA Cup, and the EFL Cup.

New Contract
Pre-season and friendlies
On 29 May, The Blades announced their first pre-season friendly against 2. Bundesliga side VfL Bochum.[37] Three days later, the club confirmed their completed schedule with further fixtures against FC Halifax Town, Chesterfield, Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United.[38] On 29 June, a behind closed doors fixture against Levante in Spain was added.[39]
