Aliabad (Persian: علی آباد)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Kalashtar Rural District[4] in the Central District of Rudbar County, Gilan province, Iran. The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Jamalabad-e Kuseh,[5] and prior to that time, its capital was the village of Kalashtar.[6]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,500 in 345 households.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 1,545 people in 400 households.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,605 people in 399 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
