Beyond Sandbox[1] is a 2026 video game focused on creativity, building, and player interaction. Although Beyond Sandbox has its own Game modes, it is heavily designed around user-created Mods & tools.
The Gameplay is centered on user creation and interaction. Players are able to design custom environments using In-game tools and assets, then share those creations with others.[1]
Multiplayer functionality is also a core element, allowing users to join in shared spaces, collaborate on builds, or simply explore what others have made. The game is also expected to support more advanced systems such as scripting and physics-based interactions with their SDK,[2] enabling more complex User-generated content.
Development
There is limited official information regarding the development of Beyond Sandbox. The game will be on platforms such as Meta Quest,[3] Windows, and Steam.[4]
Reception
At launch, Beyond Sandbox was heavily criticized by the Community for its buggy player rig and multiple other game-breaking bugs. It was also criticized for lying about features that were heavily advertised. At launch, Beyond Sandbox did not release on Steam. According to Atlas XR, there were problems with the Steam reviewing process.
