Premise

Bonjour Bakery is a baking variety show featuring the "Bakery Family 4," a team of four actors who operate South Korea's first senior-oriented dessert café. The café follows the "Yes Senior Zone" concept, where entry is exclusively reserved for individuals aged 65 or older and their companions. Located in a tranquil rural village, the shop specializes in French desserts reimagined with Korean influences.

Coupang Play announced the variety show for the first time on February 13, 2026, as part of its annual content lineup.[5] The program is produced by Studio Yeoreumnal with creative team includes director Park Geun-hyung and screenwriter Kim Ran-ju.[6] The show's "Yes Senior Zone" format was designed to foster warm interactions and provide a fresh perspective on the variety genre.[7]

Casting

Kim Hee-ae and Cha Seung-won were mentioned as cast members during the Coupang Play annual content lineup announcement on February 13, 2026.[5] On March 4, 2026, reports emerged that Kim Seon-ho and Lee Ki-taek would also join the production.[8][9] Coupang Play finalized this lineup on April 2, confirming all four actors for the show.[10]

Filming

Principal photography took place in April 2026 in Gochang County.[11] During an interview, Lee Ki-taek noted that the cast filmed for approximately two weeks while sharing group accommodations.[12]

On April 2, 2026, Coupang Play confirmed the series would premiere on Friday, May 8 at 16:00 (KST).[13] Character posters were released on April 9,[14] followed by the official poster on April 16.[15]
