Brachytronidae was formerly considered a distinct family of dragonflies occurring in Australia.[1] Up until recently, Dendroaeschna had been its only genus,[2] and that is now placed in the family Aeshnidae.[3] Brachytronidae is no longer recognised.[3][4]
