The Caima (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈkajmɐ]) is a river in north-central Portugal. Its source is in Arouca Municipality. Its basin contains a number of abandoned mines (including for lead, copper, silver) that have led to heavy metal contamination of the river.[1]
