Davangere University is a public state university located in Davangere, Karnataka, India. The university was established in the year 2008 by the Government of Karnataka.[2] Dr. Supriya R is the Chairman and Professor of the Department of studies in commerce of the Davangere University.

Davangere University was a post-graduate centre of the University of Mysore from 1979 to 1987 and functioned as a post-graduate centre of Kuvempu University from 1987 to 2009. Davangere University was established on 18 August 2009 out of Kuvempu University.
