As at 2026, Alex is the Chief Executive of Educare.[4][5] Onyia is the convener of South East Math Olympiad.[6][7]

Early life and education
Alex is from Enugu state. At a time when computer affordability was rare for children in Nigeria, he was privileged to have access to computers as his mother worked at the defunct Nigeria Telecommunications NITEL (Nigerian company).[8]
He graduated with a degree in Agriculture Engineering from University of Nigeria.[9]
