Draft:Pramada Ranjan Ray

I started as wikipedia editor about 20 years ago, became the 5th admin of Bengali wikipeda, the first admin of Bengali wikipedia from India (though I was in the USA then) .. However left regular editing nearly 15 years ago. Now a bit out of touch. But I believe the article is notable and worth publishing. So I am going to publisg it. I wont mind if you have a different opinion or major corrections. I have cioted about half a dozen but there are dozens of citable references for notability of this famous Bengali Author and Surveyor, first degree blood relative of many leaders of Bengal renaissance.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr.saptarshi (talkcontribs) 08:24, 22 March 2026 (UTC)

Kindly comment about the progress of the draft at Draft_talk:Pramada_Ranjan_Ray. Thanks and regards --Dr.saptarshi (talk) 16:42, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
Kindly have a look at Draft:Pramada Ranjan Ray, In less than 9 days it is now a fairly well formatted >7500 Word Article (not counting refs ext link etc). There are 57 references, many cited multiple times but never duplicated eg the top cited ref has ~26, different pages listed in a consolidated way in a single Bibliographic bullet. It has very high density of accurate citation from historic primary documents as well as secondary and tertiary references. When I was an admin 20 years ago this quality of Article could be a feature Article. I request you to at least give just a one-liner comment about what you think of it please. If you get a chance, please also suggest ways to improve it. Thanks and regards--Dr.saptarshi (talk) 22:57, 31 March 2026 (UTC)

I was thinking about that, and since I'm going to divide my user page into groups anyway. Thanks. ~ŤheŴubṂachine-840 16:44, 4 April 2026 (UTC)

Note on WP:CSD#G5 criteria

FYI. Thanks for looking out for Wikipedia content. You recently tagged Draft:Jilin Medical University for G5 speedy deletion. For future reference:

This page does not qualify for G5, as it was created before the user was blocked.
Per WP:CSD#G5 - Creations in violation of bans, blocks, or general sanctions:

"To qualify for a ban- or block-based speedy deletion, the edit or page must have been made while the user was actually banned or blocked. A page created before the ban or block was imposed or after it was lifted or expired will not qualify under this criterion."

Thanks. ERcheck (talk) 21:10, 5 April 2026 (UTC)

Ok, I understand, and because that's what I thought it was, since one of the users was blocked. ~ŤheŴubṂachine-840 21:16, 5 April 2026 (UTC)

RM for Official Charts Company

Your RM closure statement at Talk:Official Charts Company#Requested move 31 March 2026 doesn't really make sense. I suggest you self-revert that closure declaration. — BarrelProof (talk) 01:04, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for that. — BarrelProof (talk) 03:02, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Regular Show: The Lost Tapes (April 7)

Draft declined
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
Feedback
The reviewer, RangersRus, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the film meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for films. The draft requires either:

or multiple published secondary sources that:

  • provide significant coverage: discuss the film in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the film, such as press releases, the studio's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.

Next steps

  • Edit Draft:Regular Show: The Lost Tapes to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
  • When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.
  • If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it may be deleted.
