Hi Cosmic840. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

• Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
• Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits. For more information about when rollback is appropriate, see Wikipedia:Rollback § When to use rollback.
• Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the permission will be revoked.
• Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

You surprise me. "From today's featured list" in what's currently the top page of en:Wikipedia is an excerpt from Kim Seon-ho filmography. This is bristling with references to sources in Korean, and yet it's a featured list. My own experience of featured articles is pretty much limited to Mechanical Turk; the sources this cites are mostly in English but are also in French, German and Spanish.

WP:Verifiability is perhaps less enthusiastic about sources in languages that aren't in English, but it doesn't proscribe them. -- Hoary (talk)^WWU 👍︎ 03:53, 29 July 2026 (UTC)

• WDQSv2 Scaling: Work in Progress: The new QLever public endpoints are serving live traffic and are generally available to pilot cohort clients for testing. Our partner team at WMDE started porting the Query UI to https://query-next.wikidata.org and https://query-scholarly-next.wikidata.org. We have also rolled out a number of improvements to support federation and increase availability of the service. We have stood up a new staging environment on Kubernetes. Lastly, we are experimenting with a bleeding edge version of QLever that significantly improves memory footprint and update performance, and supports index rebuilds without needing service restarts.

• SPARQL Query Re-Writing Tool: We have begun work on a tool that will rewrite Blazegraph-specific SPARQL queries into a format that is compatible with our new QLever implementation. This tool will apply the rewrite guidance we have published on WikiTech, offering an easier path for users to migrate to WDQS v2. The purpose of this tool is not to fully adapt all queries to the new endpoint, but to support users through their migration efforts. Development on the test infrastructure is underway and expected to be complete by August 14th. An evaluation of rewrite performance will be complete by September 4th, when we will share our results. We will iterate throughout the month of September and provide access to the tool by the first week of October.

• Reminder to Report Use Cases: We encourage all members of the community to continue helping us identify higher-risk areas, namely SPARQL queries that are highly complex, by reporting use cases on our high-impact use cases and tools page. As a reminder, any use case can be reported through this mechanism. The purpose of this page is to give the WDP team visibility into user-level migration needs.

• Blazegraph Migration Office Hour (August session): Our next Blazegraph Migration Office Hour will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, 4th August 2026. This session is focused on supporting the migration away from Blazegraph as the backend of WDQS. Whether you have questions, need clarification, or want to discuss how your use case may be affected. You can register for the session via the event page.

In preparation, we encourage you to add questions, feedback, or migration-related support needs to this etherpad. This helps us shape the agenda and focus on the most relevant topics during the session.

• Improvement to Reading Lists: Community feedback around the placement of watchstar and watchlist buttons for the Reading Lists beta feature has been incorporated. 93% of participating users reported that it was useful. This feature allows saving articles for later reading – a wishlist item to bring the functionality to web.
• Creating custom edit suggestions: With the TextMatch feature, volunteers can now create custom local suggestions within the VisualEditor for improving Wikipedia articles. You can find examples from other communities for inspiration. Share your feedback.
• Dark mode for Content Translation: Content Translation now supports dark mode, fulfilling a Community Wishlist request. This brings the tool in line with the accessibility features available in the Vector 2022 and Minerva skins, helping reduce visual fatigue for users translating content.
• Mobile page preview: Based on the conclusion of the experiment, mobile page previews feature will not be rolled out. The experiment showed flat retention and negative indicator metrics, suggesting that mobile web readers preferred navigating directly to linked articles rather than using page previews.
• Scaling of Explore Feed to iOS: The Explore Feed Refresh initiative was tested with new and casual Wikipedia app readers. The refreshed feed helps readers discover new and relevant content. After a 10.5% increase in engagement with the feed, Home Feed redesign will be scaled to iOS by applying the learnings from the Android release.
• Improving Account Creation process: After running several Account Creation Experiments to improve registration completion rates, a new version of the username field on Create Account has been rolled out. Read more.
• Latest experiments: An ongoing experiment is testing to better guide Temporary Account users toward full account creation. See all live, upcoming, and completed experiments in Product & Technology.
• Tech News: The latest highlights from Tech News week 30 and 31 include that now wikis can restrict editing in the “User” namespace to only the page owner and certain user groups. See also the 50 community submitted tasks that were resolved over the last two weeks.
• New bot detection system for all wikis: After a successful trial, which showed evidence of both deterring bots and being easier to use, hCaptcha (our new bot detection system) has been rolled out to all wikis, for account creation, and for most newcomer edits.

@WikiQuokka Well the images were copied/taken from Samsung's website that was uploaded to commons which is a copyright violation and not permitted here. See c:Commons:Licensing for more information. There is an ongoing Request for Comment (RfC) at Wikipedia:Good article nominations/August 2026 RfC, which you may be interested in because in the past year, you have nominated or reviewed more than one good article nomination. This message has also been sent to all subscribers to the Good Article Gazette. The RfC contains many proposals (33 at the time of writing), which are split into the following categories: nominators, reviewers, reviews, volunteer roles, reviewing initiatives, and others. However, you are more than welcome to add any proposals of your own that you wish to put to the community.

By the end of September, all the proposals will have been closed by an uninvolved editor, either as a consensus for one of the options or with no consensus. At this point, editors will be invited again to develop these proposals into coherent policy and implement them.
