Alexa L. Fogel is an American casting director and producer. A three-time Primetime Emmy Award winner, known for her contributions to the "Golden Age" of prestige television, and her collaboration with showrunner David Simon.[1][2]

Career

Fogel began her career in the early 1990s, with credits on dramas such as NYPD Blue, for which she won two Emmy Awards in 1995 and 1997.[2]

In 1997, she began casting for HBO, starting with the prison drama Oz. She is credited with providing early career breakthroughs for several major actors, including Idris Elba, Michael B. Jordan, and Julia Garner.[1]

Fogel founded the production company Beech Hill Films, through which she has produced projects such as the Netflix documentary A Secret Love (2020) and the feature film Run Fatboy Run (2007).[3]
