  • Comment: He appears to be notable, but the draft is not ready to become an article.
First, three of the sources are inappropriate: Amazon and exoticindiaart are sales websites which can't be used as sources, and the Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research is a predatory journal that is considered to be generally unreliable.
Second, don't tell the reader that "His work has been referred to in discussions on Santali literature and contemporary tribal writing" – instead, read the discussions, and summarise some of the things they say about his work in your own words (do not use an AI, please!) That some unspecified discussion has referred to him is not very informative. The readers (including the reviewer) want to know what was said! bonadea contributions talk 19:52, 23 February 2026 (UTC)

Early life and education

Hembram was born in Kaiti village in the Burdwan district of West Bengal. He later became involved in Santali literary writing.[2]

Career

Hembram writes primarily in Santali and is associated with modern Santali literature. His short stories portray the everyday life, customs, and changing social realities of the Santhal community.

Hembram was among Santali writers who continued creative literary work despite difficult conditions in tribal regions affected by Maoist insurgency. His writings formed part of a wider literary effort to express social experience and cultural identity through Santali literature.[2]
