Bangladesh–Zimbabwe relations refer to the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Both countries are members of the Non-Aligned Movement,[1][2] the Group of 77,[3] and the World Trade Organization.[4]

Diplomatic representation
Bangladesh does not have a resident diplomatic mission in Zimbabwe. Instead, the High Commission of Bangladesh in Pretoria, South Africa, is concurrently accredited to Zimbabwe.[5] As of 2026, the High Commissioner to South Africa (concurrently accredited to Zimbabwe) is Shah Ahmed Shafi.[6]
Zimbabwe maintains an embassy in Dhaka, which is headed by Ambassador Stella Nkomo. She is concurrently accredited to India and presented her credentials to the President of India on 15 March 2021.[7]
Economic cooperation
Bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe remains modest, though both countries have identified several sectors for cooperation, including agriculture, cotton and textiles, mining, ICT, pharmaceuticals, energy and tourism. Zimbabwe's ambassador to Bangladesh, Stella Nkomo, has highlighted Zimbabwe's strategic location in Southern Africa, providing access to the markets of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Nkomo further stated, "Zimbabwe welcomes Bangladeshi investors and offers a safe, investor-friendly environment supported by the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency."[8]
In 2022, a delegation from Zimbabwe visited Bangladesh to scout for investment opportunities, responding to President Emmerson Mnangagwa's "Zimbabwe is open for business" mantra.[9]
