History[1][2]
Beta-Calco has operated in the lighting industry for over 80 years. Originally formed by Abram Aronovsky, an electrical engineer, as Beta Lighting Inc. in Bradford, England in 1941, the company relocated to Toronto, ON, Canada in 1996, beginning it's North American journey as Beta-Calco[1]. Throughout its history, Beta-Calco has focused on the integration of aesthetic design with technical performance in luminaires.

1990s
Considering the enormous growth potential of the North American market, Beta Lighting Inc. set up a facility in the region and rebranded the company as Beta-Calco; an abbreviation for Beta - Commercial Architectural Lighting Company.[1][2]
