Draft:Viktor Knavs

I wanted to know what "notability cannot be inherited" means. Can you please elaborate on that? Wikiman (Talk) 19:51, 13 July 2026 (UTC)

Being the father of a notable person doesn't necessarily make him notable. Theroadislong (talk) 20:13, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
So by your logic, that would also apply to Amalija Knavs? Wikiman (Talk) 20:14, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
No...there has been significant coverage of Amalija Knavs in reliable sources. Theroadislong (talk) 20:22, 13 July 2026 (UTC)

Draft: Dikkie Scipio

Hi @Theroadislong, Thank you for you fast review on my article for Dikkie Scipio. I see that 'The draft requires multiple published secondary sources'. In fact the articles of de Volkskrant, EWmagazine and A.Zine are independent sources (all in Dutch though). However, the wiki article refers to some of those sometimes 5 times. Do you think that it would be helpful to trim the article, as there are several pieces of content duplicate themselves? How many of additional sources do you think would be helpful for approval? Would removing the phrases on personal philosophy like 'according to Scipio' also help? I would really appreciate your elaborative feedback! Square Spiral (talk) 14:09, 15 July 2026 (UTC)

A trim would certainly help, as a lot of the content seems to be sourced to an interview , being a founding partner of of a non notable company KAAN Architecten isn't helping either. We have little interest in what she wants to say about herself and this draft tells us EVERYTHING that she would like us to know, rather than reporting what the sources say. Theroadislong (talk) 18:21, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
I see! Many thanks for your comments, that is super helpful!
I will work on improvements then! Square Spiral (talk) 06:46, 16 July 2026 (UTC)

Draft:Death of Lindsey Graham

This draft wasn’t submitted for review, but I noticed your comment about it having weird tense, but someone requested copyediting for the draft. ~2026-39904-70 (talk) 06:21, 16 July 2026 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding Draft:Sharon Gabay — you asked how it passes WP:GNG. No single source is perfect, so I would point to the combination, per WP:BASIC:

1. Makor Rishon (15 July 2026) — a full-length feature by journalist Arnon Segal about my book "Jerusalemites" and my work, in a national newspaper: https://www.makorrishon.co.il/news/local/article/350013

2. Independent features on my exhibitions in three countries: Montreal Gazette (2 Nov 2017), Listín Diario and Diario Libre (Aug–Sep 2023, Dominican Republic), and The Jerusalem Post (11 Dec 2022) — all written by staff journalists, none interview-based.

3. Profile pieces also exist — Reuters via Ynetnews (2015) and mako (2016) — though I recognize these are interview-based and weigh less.

I am the subject and have declared my COI on the draft's talk page. If the combination still falls short in your view, I will not resubmit and will wait until further independent coverage exists. Could you please take another look? Thank you. SHARONGABAY2 (talk) 07:42, 18 July 2026 (UTC)

I think WP:TOOSOON probably applies. Theroadislong (talk) 07:44, 18 July 2026 (UTC)

Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello Theroadislong:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 19 July 2026 (UTC)

You have zero independent, reliable sources so we cannot have an article on the topic. Theroadislong (talk) 15:37, 26 July 2026 (UTC)
there are Not Very Many sources on Animal Toonz available., so I Have to Work with What's Available. GlammySammy (talk) 15:41, 26 July 2026 (UTC)

Bhagya sew (talk) 06:45, 29 July 2026 (UTC)

Your draft gives us no indication of passing the criteria at WP:GNG and having "very big social media profiles" is irrelevant. Theroadislong (talk) 07:24, 29 July 2026 (UTC)

my submission on Swami Brahmananda

Dear sir, I have submitted my work on Swami Brahmananda which you declined. There are pages dedicated to many of disciples and god brothers of Swami Brahmananda in wikipedia but the man who was a guiding force and a leader of those has no place in wikipedia. I have provided enough references in support of my work even many pages have far less references which are available in wikipedia. I kindly request you to consider my submission.

with best regards Mrsanjeevyadav (talk) 17:57, 31 July 2026 (UTC)

Request on 15:15:59, 1 August 2026 for assistance on AfC submission by Rahulrajeevijk

Hello TheRoadislong,

Thank you for reviewing Draft:Vishnu Agasthya.

I understand that the draft was declined because the available references do not establish notability. I have since added additional reliable sources from Malayala Manorama, Cinema Express, Times of India and coverage related to his work in RDX, Insomnia Nights, Athiradi and other projects.

Could you please let me know which specific types of independent secondary sources would be needed for the draft to meet Wikipedia's notability guideline? If the current sources are still insufficient, I would appreciate any guidance on what kind of coverage I should look for before resubmitting.

Thank you for your time and for reviewing the draft.

Rahulrajeevijk (talk) 15:15, 1 August 2026 (UTC)

IMDb and Times of India are not reliable sources, for details see Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources. Theroadislong (talk) 15:23, 1 August 2026 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you reviewed

Hi Theroadislong. Thank you for your work on Oleh Shovenko. Another editor, Gurkubondinn, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

This article was AI-generated, you can see the markdown code block that it was wrapped in from the chatbot in the initial revision. The trailing backticks are still present, and there's a bunch of AIREDCATS as well.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Gurkubondinn}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Angustias Garcia Uson draft

Hi, Theroadislong

First of all, thanks for your time. Your question is whether this draft is a translation of a wikipedia page in another language. Well, it is an adaptation, a version, rather than a translation. The original article is in es.wikipedia.org and was also written by me. In the English version, I take a special care in explaining Spain Civil War references for English speaking readers. So the page is very similar to the original one but is also different is this reference-explaining-for-foreigners approach. Hope this is sufficient answer to your question, Theroadislong. Draft: Bharat Darshan Park

Hello @Theroadislong, can you please tell me in which way my article about Bharat Darshan Park looks like advertisement, I think you hadn't read it completely, because earlier the other editors rejected it because its AI like language, which I fixed right after that also tell me which advertisements have criticism.. Itsharshitt28 (talk) 11:46, 2 August 2026 (UTC)

I HAVE read it completley... All of the following is unsourced advertising “The Park also has pathways, seating areas, food stalls, and parking areas.’ “Entry fees was fixed at Rs 100 for adults and Rs 50 for children between 3 to 12 years at the time of opening[10]. The Park operates 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Tuesday to Sunday, closed on Monday. Photography is permitted, while commercial videography requires official's permission.” “Weekends reported to be higher than weekdays. School groups and educational tours are among the regular visitors.” “There have been proposals in MCD standing committee meetings to add digital QR Codes near each replica to provide audio information in multiple languages, but as of August 2026 this has not been implemented.” “Parking of two wheelers and four wheelers is available inside the premises” Theroadislong (talk) 11:59, 2 August 2026 (UTC)

Draft: Sharon Solomon

Draft:Sharon Solomon is about a first-generation American eye doctor who discovered protein differences in sick eyes versus well eyes. She made this discovery during a case study - in which she is the principal investigator (lead doctor/researcher). No other literature exist prior to her discovery about this protein variance (meaning it was not discovered or at minimum, not taught in schools). She is also the first black person to be promoted to full professor at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, which makes it historic in that sense (she received public recognition at the Maryland State house for this). She has been interviewed by CNN among other broadcast networks (some of which are noted) for her work in ophthalmology.

Is the issue for your declination that the linkedIn reference needs to be removed (I saw your note)? Or that the topics are briefly discussed? When it was longer, eating car batteries said it was too much information and read like a press release. Upon the overhaul, eatingcarbatteries said it was much better and that Dr. Solomon deserved a page. TheeCitationist (talk) 02:48, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
