South Korean M&A advisory firm From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bridgecode (Korean: 브릿지코드) is a South Korean mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory firm founded in August 2020 and headquartered in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Unlike large law firms and accounting firms that treat M&A advisory as an ancillary practice, Bridgecode operates as a dedicated legal entity focused exclusively on M&A advisory for South Korean small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs).[1] The firm advises companies with annual revenue ranging from below 5 billion Korean won (KRW) up to more than 100 billion KRW, and has advised on transactions involving KOSPI-listed companies and subsidiaries of large conglomerates.[2]

Bridgecode received the highest S-grade rating in the M&A advisory evaluation conducted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of South Korea in 2024,[1] and was selected as one of the ten M&A partner advisory firms of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation the same year.[3] In 2025, Bridgecode became the first South Korean M&A advisory firm to establish and implement an industry-wide code of ethics.[4]

History

Bridgecode was founded in August 2020 by professionals with backgrounds at Mirae Asset Securities, Samsung Securities, Korea Investment & Securities, KPMG, and Deloitte.[1] The founding was framed against a South Korean M&A market structure in which large accounting firms concentrated on trillion-won transactions while the small and mid-cap advisory market was dominated by boutique firms and unlicensed brokers.[4]

In 2024, the firm was named to the Seoul Investment Agency "Core 100" list of promising companies for foreign investment attraction,[5] and was designated as an official M&A advisory institution by the Korean Venture Capital Association.[6] In 2025, Bridgecode signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance on warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance for the small and mid-cap M&A market.[2] In 2026, the firm signed MOUs with Shinhan Investment and Hanwha Investment & Securities to promote M&A among SMEs and venture businesses.

Services

Bridgecode operates three service lines organized by client revenue scale.

M&A Center
A success-fee-based M&A advisory service targeting SMEs and mid-sized enterprises with annual revenue between 5 billion and over 100 billion KRW. The service covers sell-side and buy-side advisory, business valuation, financial and tax due diligence, and transaction structuring, with an average of one dedicated advisor per engagement.[1]
M&A Exchange
A matching platform combined with advisory service for small businesses and micro-enterprises with annual revenue below 5 billion KRW. The platform is intended to provide a standardized channel of entry for small-scale M&A deals that are not typically handled by large advisory firms.
M&A OS
A financial operations platform, formerly known as Partner-s, providing cash flow management and financial data integrity tools for companies preparing for a sale or acquisition.

Code of ethics

In 2025, Bridgecode enacted the first M&A advisory code of ethics in the South Korean M&A advisory industry.[4] The code sets out three principles: maintaining objectivity of valuation through standardized revenue- and EBITDA-based methodology, delivering advisory as an organizational rather than an individual capability, and prohibiting unauthorized disclosure of client deal information. The code was adopted in response to industry practices among boutique advisory firms and unlicensed brokers that had been linked to valuation distortion and uncontrolled circulation of deal information in the domestic small and mid-cap M&A market.[4]

Bridge Accounting Corporation (브릿지회계법인, formerly Bridge Partners) is an affiliated accounting corporation that provides accounting, tax, audit, and financial advisory services and participates in the financial and tax due diligence and valuation work for Bridgecode's M&A transactions.
