Career
Manders completed bachelor's, master's, and doctoral studies at the University of Toronto.[1] A University of Toronto thesis repository record lists his doctoral thesis, Lightspace: A natural domain for imaging and analysis (2006).[2] Contemporary coverage of Steve Mann's student projects in the same period also includes James Fung.[3]
An A*STAR Research feature identified him as a senior research fellow at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), where he led work on gesture-sensing human–computer interaction technology.[4]
In 2017, Manders co-founded BetaSight, a Singapore medical technology startup developing virtual reality and eye-tracking tools for visual-field testing.[5] The same report described his previous work in Singapore research and his transition into startup building.[5]
Manders has co-authored publications in computer graphics and interactive systems, including papers indexed by the Association for Computing Machinery.[6]
An Esplanade artist profile describes him as co-founder and CTO of FAIT.[7]
Music
Manders is a jazz saxophonist. He was featured with The Corey Manders Quartet at Esplanade's Jazz in July programme in 2025.[7]
