Darya Hodaei (Persian: دریا هدائی; Azerbaijani: Dərya Hüdayı; born September 2, 1989, in Tabriz, Iran) is an American-Iranian pharmacist and children’s author, known for publishing stories that highlight Azerbaijani folklore and culture.[1][2]

Early life and education
Hodaei was born and raised in Tabriz, Iran. She earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and worked as a pharmacy manager and hospital pharmacist before relocating to the United States.[3]
Career in pharmacy and research
Hodaei has co-authored peer-reviewed articles in pharmaceutical sciences, focusing on pharmaceutical excipients and their effects on intestinal transport mechanisms. Notable publications include:
