I did type: "Robert, you may go ahead with the RfC. This time, it's for addition of the songwriter occupation in both the lede and infobox of the Rihanna article (so "songwriter" comes second, just after the "singer" occupation)."

Also, I filed for arbitration because I was advised to. I was then told it was not a proper venue, so I withdrew my request.

And finally, I've been discussing this topic on the talk page of the article for four months now. Several editors agree w/ the proposed changes. One editor is particularly opposed to it and has repeatedly fought me on it and edit-warred, dismissing all of my arguments. Other editors and I have provided extensive reliable sources to support the proposed changes, but that editor and another one are now asking for a level of details that is impossible to provide, and that's not reasonable.

The context on this dispute is that the article was in Main space for 2 months, previously reviewed for quality, then an editor suddenly bumped it to draft space without notice on talk page. User:Tonymetz - Articles that have been in article space for less than 90 days may be unilaterally draftified once, and Draft:Alice Duport-Percier was in article space for about 60 days. I understand that having an article draftified in that fashion is annoying, but, in my opinion, User:Boynamedsue was correct that the sources were not independent. The help that I can provide to restore the article to mainspace is to give you the advice that I am giving you, which is to find secondary sources. I think it is reasonable to infer that there are such sources; we just need to find them. You may, at any time, move the draft back into article space. If you do that, and the sources are thought not to be sufficient, it will not be moved back to draft space again, but it may be nominated for deletion. The help that you can give to yourself is to continue looking for one or two more independent secondary sources. Do you have any further questions, or do you want to continue work on the sources? Hi Tonymetz, it's strange that you have received notification the article was reviewed. It came up on the new pages worklist, which is the only reason I saw it. It shouldn't have been there if someone has reviewed it. As Robert McClenon said, I totally understand how it is annoying, but draftication is part of the process that ensures our new articles pass the various notability guidelines. User:Boynamedsue, User:Tonymetz - There were several edits made to the article in article space in February, and the author could easily have considered them to be 'reviews'. However, 'reviewed' has a technical meaning in Wikipedia, and occurs when the reviewer clicks on the button to give the article a status of 'reviewed'. It doesn't look as though that happened. Two of those minor edits definitely would not have marked it reviewed, because they marked it as needing work, a tag for more citations needed, and a tag for a living person with the year of birth unknown. So I think that Tonymetz meant that the article was edited, which it was, and thought that the editors had approved it, which they did not. What is needed now is better sources, as both Smowman304 and Boynamedsue said. Wikipedia has its own terminology, just as many crafts and specialties have their own terminology. Sometimes new or even intermediate editors don't realize that Wikipedia has its own terminology, and that it is necessary for Wikipedia to have its own terminology, and they sometimes become confused as a result. I agree the sources need improvement, and another editor had marked with "sources needed" template. My appeal is about the comms and the actions taken. There seem to be plenty of "sources needed" articles in Mainspace, and by achieving content assessment (see below), this article met the bar for Mainspace.

My concern is about unilateral draft-ification without communicating on the Talk page. This would have been easily resolved with notes added to talk about sources needed, which sources were bad, a timeline to draftify, so editors could work on quality . Now the article is stuck in draft queue for months. A poor experience. Tonymetz 💬 19:27, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

A content assessment, especially an assessment of "start", doesn't indicate an automatic acceptance at review.

In this case, perhaps it would have been better to leave a message on the nature of the problems with the sources, but as it stands the article (still) does not pass WP:GNG and there are 18,000 new articles in need of review, many of which are ready for mainspace. Marking an article as reviewed does make a significant difference to its visibility.

It's unfortunately not realistic to expect a personalised explanation of sourcing on every draftified article, beyond the message on your talkpage. Hello I saw that you closed the dispute discussion for Rıza Kayaalp due to the other editors not answering and one being partially blocked. I have also tried third opinion resolution but that was not possible as a third account (the temporary one) joined into the dispute. I think having another editor to look at it regardless would be helpful, as I have tried to explain on the talk page the counting of medals in that there was no 2015 European Wrestling Championships and that it was incorporated into the 2015 European Games, and as you will see the medal is already accounted for under that and there are no 13 European Championships gold medals listed, only 12 in the infobox. When I tried to explain in the edit summaries, I was personally attacked here and here, so a third/fourth opinion would be helpful, as if I edit it boldly to correct it, it would just be undone. Since you have closed the case (Pakistan) at DRN, with closing comment that, DRN isn't the forum for asking a question that isn't about article content, can you please tell how should it proceed? The editors at Village pump have demonstrated that white spaces are indeed restored through Visual Editor, but I don't see how it would have a binding effect over other editor. User:Sutyarashi - I am not sure what the question should be. The steps that I thought were happening were, first, you edited with Visual Editor, and it inserted whitespace. Second, Sheriff removed the whitespace and warned you to stop inserting whitespace and to stop using a tool, Visual Editor, that inserted whitespace. I don't think that the removal of the whitespace was useful, but at the same time I don't see any harm from the removal of the whitespace. That is a cosmetic edit that appears to be a large edit because of the large number of empty bytes inserted or removed. I did think that you had a valid complaint, not about the removal of the whitespace, but about being scolded about the insertion of the whitespace and being told not to use a tool. I don't think that they are going to scold you again about whitespace. If they do warn or rebuke you about the whitespace, you may go back to Village pump (technical), which is the right forum to discuss Visual Editor and whitespace. If you want to ask any questions there, you may ask them there. My advice is to resume editing using whatever tools you want to use. Arbitration case Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/SchroCat – which you were the filing party for – has been closed and the final decision is now viewable at the link above. The following remedies have been enacted:

• Dronebogus (talk · contribs) is indefinitely banned from the English Wikipedia. This restriction may be appealed after six months, and every six months thereafter.
• SchroCat (talk · contribs) is placed on probation. Violations of behavioral expectations may be enforced in the same manner as a contentious topic, including through the standard set of user restrictions, and misconduct may be reported at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard or directly to the Committee at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Clarification and Amendment. This probation may be appealed in six months, and every six months thereafter.
• Reports at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard about SchroCat are automatically subject to the "AE participation restriction". User:HitroMilanese - If you look in detail at the history, you will see that I resubmitted it. I am not sure why I resubmitted it. If you were trying to avoid creating busywork for me by deleting the notice, it didn't do that, because I receive an email when a message is added to my user talk page. So if a message is added to my user talk page and then deleted, I still receive the message, and will look at the history. You couldn't avoid it. It may in this case be my fault because I did submit the sandbox for review, which was not useful because the sandbox is behind the draft. Thank you for trying to simplify my job. Hello Robert McClenon, I noticed that you asked identical questions of all the candidates at AELECT. Thank you for participating in the AELECT process, and contributing to the community's assessment of these candidates. However, when candidates are faced with large numbers of non-tailored questions, it presents an unfair asymmetry of effort. Candidates aren't required to answer all of these questions, but they do tend to feel obligated to, which is a poor use of their time and readers' time when the questions are not individually relevant. For example, given Ca's extensive involvement in LLM cleanup, I'm not convinced asking about LLMs told us anything new about them; it might have been more useful to ask something more targeted like, "Do you anticipate that admin tools will affect any of your LLM cleanup work?" In future elections, I'd like to suggest that you pose questions case-by-case -- perhaps explaining why the question is relevant to that particular candidate, and checking to be sure they have not already addressed the topic. 2024 and 2025 NPP Awards

Hey man im josh and MPGuy2824 won the Redirect Ninja Master Award for 2024 and 2025 respectively, for reviewing the most redirects.

Overall in 2024, one Platinum, two Gold, eight Silver, 12 Bronze and 45 Iron Barnstars were awarded. Additionally, 66 reviewers got the NPP barnstar for doing more than 100 reviews through the year.
