Gameplay

The game supports up to six players[2] that can communicate through voice chat. They play as dung beetles with the objective of rolling a dung ball home to feed their families.[1] Players must push the ball through various obstacles, navigating checkpoints before reaching their final goal. While players do not take damage, they do have to maintain the dung ball's health and refresh it through use of an item or dung piles found along the way.

Players push a dung ball up a bridge in Dung Ho!

Various items are able to be collected to help players on their journey, including bouncy mushrooms, buggy bombs, feather tufts, shellac shells, bridges, and more. Totems are also able to be found in the world which are very strong items that can increase flight speed, movement speed, strength, healing efficacy, among other abilities.

Development

Dung Ho! was developed by the Lesser Weevil video game development team, a studio spearheaded by Borderlands creator Matthew Armstrong.[3]
