History

FatPipe Networks was founded in 1989 by Ragula Bhaskar (CEO) and Sanchaita Datta (CTO). The company was originally incorporated as Ragula Systems Development Company (RSDC) in Utah.[1]

In December 2002, FatPipe Networks India Limited was incorporated as a private limited company headquartered in Chennai, India, converting to a public limited company in August 2008.[3]

In April 2025, FatPipe completed its initial public offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker symbol FATN. Following the IPO, the company was added to the Russell 3000E and Russell Microcap Indexes.[4]

In September 2022, FatPipe partnered with Web Werks Data Centers to deliver SD-WAN-enabled services to enterprise customers in India. The collaboration deployed FatPipe's solutions across Web Werks' data center locations to simplify WAN architecture and provide end-to-end network optimization.[5]

Technology

FatPipe's core technology is router clustering, which enables data transfer through multiple internet connections, multiple internet service providers (ISPs), and backbones over WANs with re-assembly of data streams.[2] The company holds 12 U.S. patents related to multipath and software-defined networking.[1]

The company's technology provides automatic failover of a downed data line connection due to WAN component or service failure. FatPipe claims its technology can improve WAN uptime through intelligent load balancing and redundancy.[6]

Key technological features include:

  • Dynamic inbound and outbound load balancing across multiple ISPs without requiring BGP programming[2]
  • Quality of Service (QoS) for prioritizing network traffic
  • Data compression and deduplication to optimize bandwidth utilization
  • VPN encryption and security protocols[7]

Products

FatPipe's product portfolio includes hardware appliances and software-defined solutions for enterprise networking.
