Early life and education
McCann is a fourth-generation New Yorker.[1] McCann revealed that her father suffered a breakdown after the September 11 attacks in New York and moved out of the city, passing away shortly afterward.[2]
McCann graduated from New York University with a screenwriting and production degree.[3]
Career
McCann co-founded Channel 1, an event organizing company based in New York City, with her friend Daniela Miles.[4] McCann began her career as a brand and events creative strategist, developing a reputation for hosting parties in eccentric or untraditional locations. Among her most visible early projects were a dance party at Katz's Delicatessen featuring Diplo[5] and a "house arrest party" thrown in 2023 for socialite Anna Delvey after her conviction for multiple counts of grand larceny.[6] In 2024, during the filming of Next Gen NYC, McCann hosted a bowling-alley-themed club, "Club Club NYC," which was featured in the series finale.[7] In 2025, she announced that the club was being put on pause while she focuses on other opportunities.[8]
In April 2025, Bravo announced that McCann would be joining a new reality series Next Gen NYC, which follows young adults navigating life and friendship in New York City.[9][10] The series premiered as the most-watched Bravo episode of all time.[11] McCann became a breakout figure of the series for her quirky behaviors, like brushing her hair with a fork and using a laptop as a cell phone.[12][13] McCann also inspired significant controversy throughout the series.[14][8] In the first episode, McCann declared that she was "pro-germ" and that she does not wash her hands, which sparked an online debate about the subject.[8] She additionally received criticism after she made an insensitive comment about Emira D'Spain's eating habits that her castmates perceived as body shaming.[15] In October 2025, the series was renewed for a second season, with McCann confirmed to return.[16][17] McCann attended BravoCon 2025 and participated in the "Next Gen NYC" panel with her castmates.[18]
Personal life
In 2024, McCann dated cryptocurrency Omar Zaki, and their relationship and breakup was featured on the first season of Next Gen NYC. After Zaki promised to invest in McCann's bowling alley club, castmate Emira D'Spain called attention to an SEC filing against Zaki for fraud.[19][20] During the series finale, McCann revealed that Zaki had ended their relationship after an argument and kicked her out of their apartment, prompting her to briefly move in with castmate Charlie Zakkour.[21]
McCann has been open about her struggles with disordered eating.[22] In August 2025, McCann revealed that she had been struggling with an eating disorder since she was in eighth grade, explaining that her disordered eating came from needing a sense of control rather than from body dysmorphia.[22] She stated that she was inspired to seek treatment when fans expressed concern about her health on social media after the premiere party of Next Gen NYC, during which she weighed only 88 pounds.[23]
