Food is Free
Pierini works with Food is Free in Benicia, California.[1] During the COVID-19 pandemic, Pierini created a food stand for Food is Free to help people in need.[2] Many people joined her in helping to provide food for families.[citation needed]
In 2021, Food is Free was robbed of diapers and other things. Pierini responded to this by adding extra security to the food stands.[3]
In 2023, Pierini hosted "Giving Tuesday" at the Solano County Fairgrounds with Food is Free, in which families came to the fairgrounds to collect food.[4] In the aftermath of the 2025 US government shutdown, Pierini gave food to many people who were unable to get SNAP benefits.[5]
Sustainable Solano
Pierini has also worked with Sustainable Solano,[6] an organization to help Solano County residents to create sustainable gardens.[citation needed]
