House of Ka is a 2026 American feature film directed by Josie Eli Herman and written by Michael Alan Herman and Josie Eli Herman.[4][5] House of Ka is inspired by Bram Stoker's The Jewel of Seven Stars [1] and follows a young woman's investigation into the supernatural as she tries to save her father from a mysterious illness. Set in 1891, the film explores Egyptology[8] and was filmed in Michigan.[9][10][11] The film was named a Penny Dreadful-style horror film by Fangoria Magazine[1] and was recognized for it's unique directorial voice and contributions to indie horror by Rue Morgue Magazine.[12]
