Draft:Islamic State Police (Mosul)

Former Police force of the Islamic State in Mosul From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Islamic State Police (Mosul) was the law-enforcement branch of the Islamic State within Mosul inside the province of Nineveh in Iraq.[3] After ISIS captured Mosul in June 2014, the group set up a police force in charge of civilian policing, traffic regulation, and other law-enforcement duties within Mosul and the Nineveh region.[4][5] The force presumably operated until the fall of ISIS control of Mosul in 2017.
