Comment: You’ve made a great start in the article. It’s always frustrating when doing articles on geographic objects, but notability still needs to be satisfied, and as yet it lacks sufficient sources which prove notability. It requires 2-3 sources which are reliable, independent, secondary sources, which talk at length about the topic of the article. Unfortunately the sources you have so far aren’t quite there. We need something which talks more directly and at length about the lake - whether that is more description about the size / location etc, or whether that’s about the construction history of the dams it feeds, either would be fine, but the articles you have so far aren’t quite passing mentions at best. I would love to see this article approved, so hopefully you can track down those sources soon, and we can take another look. Good luck and keep up the hard work 👍 . Overview
The lake is situated at 2,540 meters altitude at the foot of the north face of the Adamello.[2][3] Built for hydroelectric purposes, it is supported by a buttress dam made of concrete, constructed in 1959. The dam is 27 meters high, 380 meters long at the crest, and has a volume of 42,000 cubic meters.[4][5]
The reservoir, at full capacity, covers just under 20 ha and can hold up to 2.5 million cubic meters of water, mostly from spring snowmelt.[5][3]
Lake Venerocolo represents the culminating reservoir of a hydroelectric system, consisting, in addition to itself, of the Lake Pantano, Lake Benedetto, and Lake d'Avio.[3][6] All these reservoirs are interconnected and supply the hydroelectric power plant in Edolo.[3] However, the water from Lake Venerocolo and Lake Pantano, which are the two reservoirs located at the highest altitude, also feeds a small power plant located on the shores of Lake Benedetto.[3][7]
Access
Lake Venerocolo can only be reached on foot via trails, as the cableway that reaches it from Dosso Lavedole is exclusively for the use of dam maintenance personnel. The trail route carries the trail marker number 11 of the Italian Alpine Club, Val Camonica section. Trail number 1, better known as the Alta Via dell'Adamello, stops at the Rifugio Giuseppe Garibaldi, located on the northern shore of the lake.[8][9]
